Cirencester Dolphin Sub-Aqua is an active club for scuba diving and snorkelling for the people of Cirencester and the surrounding towns and villages of Swindon, Gloucestershire and North Wiltshire. We are a branch of the British Sub Aqua Club (BSAC) the UK's leading dive club and the sport's National Governing Body. Our training follows the BSAC diver training and development program and leads to internationally recognised diving qualifications. We offer BSAC training so you can learn the very best dive and snorkel techniques or advance your existing diver qualifications, and join us on trips to coastal and inland dive sites.
Established in 1979, we are an approachable friendly club, meeting every Friday night at 8:30pm at the Cotswold Leisure Centre in Cirencester, for diver and snorkel training and swimming in the pool. We currently have over forty members including our team of dedicated and highly qualified instructors.
We have an active social side with a good mix of members - from eight year old snorkellers to sixty-something divers - with a broad range of skills, experience and interests including photography, video, archaeology, wildlife and conservation, technical and re-breather diving.
We enjoy a wide range of diving from the shore, off our own club dive-boat and at a number of nearby inland lakes and quarries. We regularly dive stunning wrecks and magical reefs at home and overseas. Every year we organise a holiday to sites further afield. Recent trips have been to Malta, Red Sea, West Wales, Cornwall, Scapa Flow, Sound of Mull and the Isle of Skye with small boat diving, larger live-aboard hard boats and chartered day boats.
Do you want to learn to dive or improve your diving skills? We can help with a structured progressive training program that caters from complete beginners using club equipment to experienced divers with our range of fully qualified instructors.
